Product Description
Designed for excellent presentation, flexibility and reliability, our Ronnie/Spinner Rig Boom Sections are expertly hand-tied using 20lb semi-stiff coated braid, providing an excellent combination of strength, durability and flexibility.
The semi-stiff coated braid helps create separation between the lead system and hook section while providing excellent anti-tangle and reset properties. Its additional flexibility compared with a stiff fluorocarbon boom makes it a versatile option when fishing over a variety of lakebeds.
Each boom features a tied loop at both ends, providing a simple and reliable connection while allowing you to attach your preferred Ronnie/Spinner Rig hook section and terminal tackle setup.
The coated outer layer helps reduce tangles during the cast while allowing the boom to maintain its shape and reset effectively if disturbed by feeding fish.
These boom sections are ideal for anglers who prefer to choose their own hook pattern, hook size and hook section, while saving valuable preparation time on the bank.
Each boom is individually tied, tested and carefully checked in-house to ensure a consistent finish, secure connections and reliable performance every time you cast out.
Simply select your preferred options, attach your chosen Ronnie/Spinner Rig hook section and your rig is ready to fish.

Expert Tips
Straighten Your Boom When Required
If the coated braid becomes kinked after playing a fish or during storage, it can usually be straightened without steaming. Attach a knot puller to each end and carefully pull the boom tight to help straighten the material.
Use an Anti-Tangle Sleeve
An anti-tangle sleeve can help keep the boom extended away from the lead system during the cast, improving separation and helping the rig land correctly.
Use PVA Foam When Casting
Adding a small piece of PVA foam around the hook can help protect the hook point and reduce the chance of the hook section tangling around the boom during the cast.
Check for Damage Regularly
Always inspect the coated braid for kinks, abrasions or damage to the outer coating, particularly after catching a fish or fishing over rough lakebeds. Replace the boom whenever necessary.
Choose the Right Boom Length
A boom length of around 6β8 inches is a good starting point for many carp fishing situations. Shorter or longer booms can be selected depending on the lakebed, baiting situation and presentation required.
Check Your Hook Section Movement
Once your Ronnie/Spinner hook section is attached, make sure it can rotate freely and isnβt restricted by the boom connection.
Always Test Your Presentation
Whenever possible, test the completed rig in the margins before casting. Check that the boom kicks away correctly, the hook section moves freely and the complete presentation is sitting exactly as intended.
