The longer boom section is constructed using stiff fluorocarbon, providing excellent kick-away and anti-tangle properties. The stiffness of the boom helps push the hookbait away from the lead during the cast while also providing excellent reset properties if the rig is disturbed by feeding fish.

Connected to the boom is a supple uncoated braid hook section, allowing the hook and hookbait greater freedom of movement. This creates a natural presentation while allowing the hook to react quickly when the bait is picked up by a feeding carp.
