The Blowback Rig is a very useful rig that allows you to present baits without them sitting directly on your hook. The bait is attached to a hair on the hook with a micro rig ring, which improves its hooking efficiency. Although they are commonly associated with a snowman bait presentation, created with a smaller pop-up sat on top of a larger boilie, blowback rigs are also effective with bottom baits and wafters. These rigs feature a basic hair rig design, but with an added micro rig ring on the hook shank, providing optimal bait presentation for increased catch rates. Perfect for anglers of all levels.

Hook Type Options

Budget Curve Shank Hook -

Curve Shank Hooks are one of the most used pattern of hook in the carp fishing world.

The curved design allows for aggressive hook positioning and when used with rigs such as the blowback rig can prove incredibly effective and provide a great hook hold time and time again.

Budget Continental Hook -

Continental hooks are the strongest style hook available and are suitable for the biggest of fish or the snaggiest/weediest waters. They are a great choice for anglers targeting huge overseas carp.

Continental hooks are suitable for both pop up and bottom baits.

These hooks are manufactured in Japan.

They have dull grey PTFE (Teflon) coating. The PTFE coating helps give them a silky smooth finish for better hook penetration.

Shrink Tubing allows you to angle your hook from your hook link to create very aggressive curve to your rigs.

It also helps create a really neat presentation.

Anti Tangle Sleeves are designed, as the name suggests, to prevent line tangles.

They are a very effective piece of terminal tackle helping to prevent the end tackle and hook from becoming tangled around the main line when casting.
