Hook Type Options

 Budget Curve Shank Hook -

Curve Shank Hooks are one of the most used pattern of hook in the carp fishing world.

The curved design allows for aggressive hook positioning and when used with rigs such as the blowback rig can prove incredibly effective and provide a great hook hold time and time again.

Budget Continental Hook -

Continental hooks are the strongest style hook available and are suitable for the biggest of fish or the snaggiest/weediest waters. They are a great choice for anglers targeting huge overseas carp.

Continental hooks are suitable for both pop up and bottom baits.

Budget Wide Gape Hook -

Wide gape hooks are very versatile and can be used for many different rig set ups but are most commonly used with a hair rig or blowback rig.

The aggressive pattern allows for extremely good hook holds and if presented correctly will turn bites in to fish on the bank.

These hooks are manufactured in Japan.

They have dull grey PTFE (Teflon) coating. The PTFE coating helps give them a silky smooth finish for better hook penetration.

Anti Tangle Sleeves are designed, as the name suggests, to prevent line tangles.

They are a very effective piece of terminal tackle helping to prevent the end tackle and hook from becoming tangled around the main line when casting.

1. When using the KD rig it is essential to use a hook that is sharp enough to penetrate the carp's tough mouth. Check your hooks regularly and sharpen them if needed.                                      
2. Hair Extenders can be used to make baits on hairs sit further away from the hook. Each card included has 3 different length extenders, allowing you to customise the length of your hair without having to make another rig.
3. The hair length should allow a small gap between the bait and the hook, typically around 8-10mm, to ensure the bait is taken in cleanly.
