It's an excellent choice when the lakebed is unknown, or when you see carp showing in an area, as the rig's stiff nature and the fact the bait floats ensures the bait hovers just above the debris.
3. Avoid using a chod rig on clean, gravelly spots, where a bottom bait is typically a better choice.
